POWERING THE MULTIPLEXER
Use the following procedure to initialize multiplexers being powered up for the first time or
after extended storage. This clears any random data remaining in the multiplexer and
initializes the memory for user programming.
1. Turn on power to cameras, monitors, and any equipment connected to the multiplexer.
2. Plug the power cord into the multiplexer.
3. Hold down the VIEW button on the multiplexer’s front panel while plugging the power
cord into an electrical outlet. Release the button when the Initialization menu appears.
The monitor displays PLEASE WAIT and begins a 20-second countdown. After the
countdown finishes, this menu disappears, all programming menus are at their default
settings, and the multiplexer is ready to use.

the outlet first, and then plug
the power cord into the
multiplexer. A rack-mounted
unit may require two people.
