12 TILTABLE OUTRIGGER RAMS
12.1
Manually tiltable outrigger rams
They are outrigger rams, which can be placed in a vertical, upwards, or incli-
ned position (at 30°) to avoid obsticles on the truck frame. (fig. 7-7a)
To position the rams in a working condition
(!) ATTENTION (!)
- If the ram is placed in a vertical position, a rotation stop F
prevents overturning to the opposite direction.
- Before extracting the check pin and the locking pin to lower the
ram, check the position of the rotation stop F to prevent the ram
falling to the opposite side of the stop. Supporting the ram,
remove the check pin and the locking pin from their positions.
- Position, carefully, the ram in working condition, insert the locking
pin in its new position and secure it with the check pin. (fig. 7a)
To re-position the rams to the folded position
- Remove the check pin and the locking pin from their position.
- Carefully position, the ram in a upward direction and support the
ram, insert the locking pin in its new position and secure it with the
check pin (fig. 7); if the ram is placed in a vertical position, a rotation
stop F prevents overturning.
(!) The locking pin is held to the outrigger support by a chain
in order to prevent its loss.
(!) The locking pin is constructed from special material
- do not replace it with a non original part
- your security depends on it
