2.0 Basic Operation
This section provides an overview of the keypad’s functionalities.
This includes the use of action keys and visual feedback.
Many of the features in your system must be enabled by your
installer. If the feature is not programmed, the keypad will emit a
rejection beep and the action will be cancelled.
2.1 Action Keys
The Icon keypad has action keys with which you can access the
keypad’s various functions as outlined in Table 1.

Action Key Key Description
Stay Arm
Arms the perimeter only, allowing you to
remain in the protected area. Refer to
Stay Arming on page 10.
Force Arm
Arms area without waiting for all zones to
close. Refer to Force Arming on page 11.
Regular Arm
Arms individual areas or all assigned
areas when all zones are closed. Refer to
Arming on page 9.
Disarm
Disarms individual areas or all assigned
areas. Refer to Disarming on page 16.
Zone Bypass
Deactivates specific zones the next time
the system is armed. Refer to Bypass
Programming on page 14.
