TPN Therapy with Automatic

Ramping

This therapy is designed to allow a level rate of infusion of parenteral nutritional products with the option of tapering

at the beginning, end, or both of the infusion. It also has an early ramp-down feature.

The following display screen will appear, requiring you to enter information needed to

program this therapy.

Prescription Menus

TPN Pre-Prescription Menu Screen

This menu item allows you to customize the program to match each individual prescription. The

pump’s default setting is displayed in the left screen. Each field is individually explained below:

1 DELAY (Delay Start): This field allows you to delay the start of the infusion from one minute

up to twenty-four hours. If the infusion is NOT to be delayed, select “OFF” and press the

“YES/ENTER” to enter. The cursor will move to the next field. If the infusion IS to be

delayed until a later time, select “ON” and press “YES/ENTER” to accept. The following

screen will appear:
