Whenever a lock setting is placed in the pump it is retained unless changed by using either the
BIOMED SETUP function or the OPTIONS function to change the setting. If a locked-out
function is requested, such as PRIME in lock setting 3, a screen will appear requesting the entry of
the access code. When the correct code is entered, the locked out function can be performed by
the clinician.
Note: The lock setting remains the same, but the pump recognizes the access code, and
authorizes the function to be performed without the need to change the lock setting.
