Accessories
There are a number of helpful accessories for use with the
Curlin Medical
pumps, and their descriptions and
diagrams for use are included in this chapter.
AC Adapter/Charger
This accessory (Universal AC Adapter 340-2022) can be used with the pump as the primary
source of power or for charging the lead-acid battery pack. This accessory becomes the external
power source when plugged into wall receptacle and the Curlin Medical pump (see Figure 1.2
for external power port location on the bottom of the pump). It can also be used to recharge
the portable battery pack when you plug it into the recharging port (see Figure 1.12). The two-
pin connector on the end of the cable plugs into the receptacles correctly when you align the red
dots on each. Note, also, that the connector is keyed with a “notch” at this red-dot location to
guide alignment. To remove, pull back on the locking sleeve to unlock and remove it from the
pump’s port.

Note: The pump should always have two “C size” batteries installed, even if this device is in use,
thereby providing power to the pump in the event of a power failure or disconnection of
the AC Adapter. When using this power source, the power status screen will indicate
“External Power Source”.
