Note: Access to the programming screens is lock level restrictive.
If the actual amount in the source bag/container is sufficient to complete
the programmed infusion, press βYESβ to start the infusion.
Note: If the infusion is continued without sufficient volume, air-in-line
or up occlusion alarms may occur later in the infusion.
LCD Display: ALERT AMT TBI LESS THAN AMT INFUSED
Alert: Unable to change amount to be infused to an amount less than what has
already infused.
Cause: Occurs when user tries to change the Vol TBI / Amt TBI field in the
prescription menu to an amount lower that the amount which has already
infused.
Resolution: Recheck the data entry. If alert recurs, resume the infusion and observe
the Vol Inf / Amt Inf field on the run menu. The value for data entry
must be greater than the value displayed on the run menu.
LCD Display: ALERT BOLUS DOSE IS NON-ZERO
Alert: Unable to enter a bolus interval or # of boluses/hour of β0β
Cause: Bolus interval or # of boluses/hour value entered is zero, and bolus dose
value is non-zero. When a bolus value is entered, there must also be a
value greater than 0 entered for bolus interval and # of boluses/hour.
Resolution: Recheck data entered for the prescription.
LCD Display: ALERT BOLUS DOSE NOT ALLOWED
Alert: A bolus dose is not allowed
Cause: Bolus key or button pressed when no bolus dose is programmed.
Resolution: If bolus doses are part of the prescription, modify the Rx/titration
program to allow bolus doses.
LCD Display: ALERT BOLUS REQUESTED
Alert: Not time for bolus
Cause: Bolus button or key is pressed before the programmed time interval
between bolus doses have elapsed.
Resolution: Advise patient of time limits between bolus doses per agency protocols.
LCD Display: ALERT CALCULATED AMT OUT OF RANGE
Alert: Invalid calculated amount for infusion
Cause: The calculated amount for the infusion, based on the values entered for
Rate and Time, exceeds either the pump limit or the value entered for bag
volume.
Resolution: Recheck data entry for Rx.
