5.5 Fiber Optical Specifications
The following sections detail fiber optical specifications on ports that can be ordered with the
RSG2100 series Ethernet switch. The user determines the type of optics at time of ordering, and
can determine the modules installed on a particular unit by reading the factory data file via the
RuggedSwitch ROS
TM
user interface. The following sections detail specifications of fiber optic
modules in two general categories, Ethernet / Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and Gigabit Ethernet
(1000 Mbps).
