NVOY™ TRANSCEIVER REFERENCE MANUAL 333
The operating parameters can be set to the following:
System power (A rail protected)
System power is switched off when the transceiver is switched off.
WARNING: The total load connected to the A rail protected supply must not exceed
2A.
Tx audio input
Audio input from external equipment, for example, data modems, is connected
between pins 5 and 15 and is a balanced floating input. The input signal should be
nominally 1 V p–p and not exceed 3 V p–p.
System audio output
This supplies Rx audio at a default level of –13 dBm. This can be varied from –31 to
0.5 dBm using the RFU Rx Out Audio Level entry in User Data > Peripherals.
There are other entries that enable other parameters like Easitalk™ and mute.
System audio output is normally unbalanced and connected to pin 14. The transceiver
can also be internally reconfigured to provide balanced 600 audio output from
pins 14 and 7. In this mode, the relay contacts can only be used by switching pin 6 to
either ground or the battery volts.
