Selecting the data rate
The data rate affects the speed with which digitally encrypted transmissions are sent.
To select a different data rate:
If you are using a 2220 Handset or 2230 Desk Console, do one of the following:
• From the main menu, select (General), then (Secure).
• Hold
SEC.
If you are using a 2221 Handset:
• From the main menu, select (Functions).
• Press or to scroll to the Secure Info function.
•Press (OK).
Press or to select the data rate that you want to use.
Press (OK).
Locking the data rate
The data rate for AES-256 digital voice encryption can be locked so that the user
cannot change it. You must select the rate that you want to use before locking it.
