Be sure to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have regarding your hearing or use of this system with your hearing care professional. 1.
1.4 Clinical benefit 1.5 Warranty Most recipients of a bone conduction hearing solution will experience improved hearing performance and quality of life compared to unaided listening. The warranty does not cover defects or damage arising from, associated with, or related to the use of this product with any non-Cochlear processing unit and/ or any non-Cochlear implant. See the “Cochlear Baha Global Limited Warranty card” for more details. 2. Use 2.1 Turn on and off 2.
English These programs are suitable for different listening situations. Ask your hearing care professional to fill in your specific programs on the lines in the previous page. 1. To change the program, press and release the control button located on the top of your sound processor once. 2. If enabled, audio and visual signals will let you know which program you have changed to. See chapter 5, “Audio and visual indicators”. 3.
3. Power 3.1 Battery type 3.3 Change the battery The Baha 6 Max Sound Processor uses a 312 size type hearing aid battery (1.45 Volt zinc air, non-rechargeable). Batteries should be replaced as needed, just as you would with many other electronic devices. Battery life will vary with e.g. daily use, volume levels, wireless streaming, sound environment, program setting, and battery strength. See figure 5 1.
English NOTE • To maximise battery life, switch off the sound processor when it is not in use. • Battery life decreases as soon as the battery is exposed to air (when the plastic strip is removed), so be sure to only remove the plastic strip directly prior to use. • If a battery leaks, replace it immediately. 3.4 Tamper-resistant battery door See figure 6 To prevent the accidental opening of the battery door, an optional tamperresistant battery door is available.
4. Wear 4.1 Safety line See figure 7 The safety line is designed to reduce the risk of dropping or losing your processor. You can attach a safety line that clips onto your clothing: 1. Pinch the loop on the end of the safety line between your finger and thumb. 2. Pass the loop through the attachment hole in the sound processor from front to back. 3. Pass the clip through the loop and pull the line tight. Attach the clip to your clothing.
English 4.4 Wireless devices You can use Cochlear True Wireless™ devices to enhance your listening experience. To learn more about the options available, ask your hearing care professional or visit www.cochlear.com. To pair your sound processor to a wireless device: 1. Press the pairing button on your wireless device. 2. Turn off your sound processor by opening the battery door. 3. Turn on your sound processor by closing the battery door. 4.

6. Care 6.1 Care and maintenance Your sound processor is a delicate electronic device. Follow these guidelines to keep it in proper working order: • • • • • • • • 14 For cleaning your sound processor and snap coupling, remove the sound processor from your head and use the Baha sound processor cleaning kit and accompanying instructions. The kit is provided by Cochlear in the sound processor box. After exercise, wipe your processor with a soft cloth to remove sweat or dirt.
English If your sound processor becomes wet and malfunctions: 1. Remove your sound processor from the head. 2. Open the battery door and remove the battery. 3. Put your sound processor in a container with drying capsules such as a Dri-Aid Kit, etc. Let your sound processor dry out before inserting a new battery. Drying kits are available from most hearing care professionals. 7.
8. Other information 8.1 Sound processor and parts • • • • • • 16 The sound processor is suited for use in a home healthcare environment. The home healthcare environment includes locations such as homes, schools, churches, restaurants, hotels, cars, and airplanes, where equipment and systems are less likely to be administered by healthcare professionals. A sound processor will not restore normal hearing and will not prevent or improve a hearing impairment resulting from organic conditions.
English 8.2 Serious incidents Serious incidents are rare. Any serious incident in relation to your device should be reported to your Cochlear representative and to the medical device authority in your country, if available. 8.
8.6 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) Interference may occur in the vicinity of equipment marked with the following symbol: Devices such as airport metal detectors, commercial theft detection systems, and Radio Frequency ID (RFID) scanners may produce strong electromagnetic fields. Some Baha users may experience a distorted sound sensation when passing through or near one of these devices. If this occurs, you should turn off the sound processor when in the vicinity of one of these devices.

3. Puissance 3.1 Type de pile 3.3 Remplacement de la pile Le processeur Baha 6 Max utilise une pile d'aide auditive de type 312 (zinc-air 1,45 V, non rechargeable). Les piles doivent être remplacées dès que cela est nécessaire, comme pour tout autre appareil électronique. L'autonomie de la pile varie en fonction de l'utilisation quotidienne, du volume, de la fonction sans fil, de l'environnement sonore, du réglage du programme et de l'intensité de la batterie. Français REMARQUE • Pour optimiser au maximum l'autonomie de la pile, éteignez votre processeur lorsque vous ne l'utilisez pas. • L'autonomie de la pile diminue dès que celle-ci est exposée à l'air (lorsque le film plastique est enlevé). Veillez donc à n'enlever le film plastique qu'au moment de l'utilisation. • Si une pile fuit, remplacez-la immédiatement. 3.
4. Port 4.1 Cordon de sécurité Voir illustration 7 Le cordon de sécurité est conçu pour réduire le risque de chute ou de perte de votre processeur. Vous pouvez attacher un cordon de sécurité qui se fixe à vos vêtements : 1. Pincez la boucle à l'extrémité du cordon de sécurité entre l'index et le pouce. 2. Faites passer la boucle à travers l'orifice de fixation du processeur, de l'avant vers l'arrière. 3. Faites passer la pince de fixation dans la boucle et tirez sur le cordon pour le serrer.

6. Entretien 6.1 Entretien et maintenance Votre processeur est un appareil électronique fragile. 3. Leistung 3.1 Batterietyp 3.3 Batterie wechseln Der Baha 6 Max Soundprozessor verwendet eine Hörgerätebatterie der Größe 312 (1,45 Volt Zink-Luft, nicht wiederaufladbar). Die Batterien Ihres Soundprozessors wechseln Sie bei Bedarf wie bei vielen anderen elektronischen Geräten.
Deutsch HINWEIS • Damit Sie die Batterie möglichst lange verwenden können, schalten Sie den Soundprozessor aus, wenn Sie ihn nicht benutzen. • Die Batterielaufzeit verkürzt sich, sobald die Batterie mit Luft in Kontakt kommt (wenn der Plastikstreifen entfernt ist). Achten Sie darauf, dass der Plastikstreifen erst direkt vor der Verwendung entfernt wird. • Entsorgen Sie ausgelaufene Batterien unverzüglich. 3.
4. Abnutzung 4.1 Sicherheitsschnur Siehe Abbildung 7 Die Sicherheitsschnur wurde entwickelt, um das Risiko des Herunterfallens oder des Verlusts des Soundprozessors zu verringern. Sie können eine Sicherheitsschnur anbringen, die an Ihrer Kleidung befestigt wird: 1. Drücken Sie die Schlaufe am Ende der Sicherheitsschnur zwischen Finger und Daumen zusammen. 2. Führen Sie die Schlaufe von der Vorder- zur Rückseite durch die Befestigungsöffnung im Soundprozessor. 3.

Fragen Sie zu den lieferbaren Optionen Ihren Audiologen oder Akustiker oder rufen Sie www.cochlear.com auf. Soundprozessor mit einem Wireless-Gerät synchronisieren: 1. Drücken Sie die Synchronisierungstaste am Wireless-Gerät. 2. Schalten Sie den Soundprozessor aus, indem Sie das Batteriefach öffnen. 3. Schalten Sie Ihren Soundprozessor ein, indem Sie das Batteriefach schließen. 4.
5. 6. Pflege 6.1 Pflege und Wartung Ihr Soundprozessor ist ein empfindliches elektronisches Gerät. Um einen ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb zu gewährleisten, befolgen Sie bitte folgende Hinweise: • • • • • • • 54 Zum Reinigen Ihres Soundprozessors und der Schnappkupplung nehmen Sie den Soundprozessor vom Kopf und verwenden Sie das Baha Soundprozessor-Reinigungsset und die zugehörige Anleitung. Das Set wird von Cochlear in der Soundprozessor-Box mitgeliefert.
Deutsch Wenn Ihr Soundprozessor nass wird und Funktionsstörungen auftreten: 1. Nehmen Sie den Soundprozessor von Ihrem Kopf ab. 2. Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach und nehmen Sie die Batterie heraus. 3. Legen Sie den Soundprozessor in einen Behälter mit Trocknungskapseln wie einem Trocknungs-Set oder Ähnlichem. Lassen Sie ihn trocknen. 8. Weitere Informationen 8.1 Soundprozessor und Teile • • • • • • 56 Der Soundprozessor ist zur medizinischen Versorgung in häuslicher Umgebung geeignet. Hierzu zählen Häuser/Wohnungen/ Heime, Schulen, Kirchen, Restaurants, Hotels, Autos und Flugzeuge, in denen Geräte und Systeme nicht von medizinischem Fachpersonal beaufsichtigt werden. Der Soundprozessor kann das normale Hören nicht ersetzen. Organisch bedingte Hörschäden werden damit weder beseitigt noch gebessert.
Deutsch WARNUNG Der Soundprozessor und abnehmbare Teilen des Systems (beispielsweise Batterien, Batteriefach, Sicherheitsschnur) können verloren gehen oder beim Verschlucken zum Ersticken führen oder eine Strangulationsgefahr darstellen. 8.5 Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) Der Soundprozessor und sein Zubehör dürfen nicht in einen Raum, in dem sich ein Magnetresonanztomograph befindet, gebracht werden, um Beschädigungen des Soundprozessors und des MRT-Systems zu vermeiden. Der Soundprozessor muss vor Betreten eines Raumes, in dem sich ein Magnetresonanztomograph befindet, abgenommen werden. Falls Sie sich einem MRT unterziehen müssen, befolgen Sie bitte die Hinweise auf der auf der MRT-Karte. Sie befindet sich im Dokumentenpaket. 8.

Nederlands 1. Inleiding Gefeliciteerd met uw Cochlear™ Baha® 6 Max-geluidsprocessor. Deze handleiding geeft u tips en aanbevelingen over het gebruik en het onderhoud van uw Baha-geluidsprocessor. Neem contact op met uw audioloog bij vragen of bezorgdheid betreffende uw gehoor of het gebruik van dit systeem. 1.
1.4 Klinisch voordeel 1.5 Garantie De meeste gebruikers van een hooroplossing via directe beengeleiding zullen betere hoorprestaties en een betere kwaliteit van leven ervaren in vergelijking met horen zonder hulpmiddelen. De garantie geldt niet voor gebreken of schade voortvloeiend uit, in verband met of gerelateerd aan het gebruik van dit product in combinatie met een niet-Cochlear processor en/of een niet-Cochlear implantaat.
Nederlands Deze programma's zijn geschikt voor verschillende luistersituaties. Vraag uw audioloog om uw specifieke programma's in te vullen op de regels op de vorige pagina. 1. Als u het programma wilt wijzigen, drukt u één keer op de bedieningsknop boven op de geluidsprocessor. 2. Hoorbare en zichtbare indicatoren laten u weten welk programma u hebt ingeschakeld, indien deze functie is ingeschakeld. Zie hoofdstuk 5, "Hoorbare en zichtbare indicatoren". 3.
3. Voeding 3.1 Batterijtype 3.3 De batterij vervangen De Baha 6 Max-geluidsprocessor maakt gebruik van een gehoorapparaatbatterij met formaattype 312 (1,45 volt zink-lucht, niet oplaadbaar). Batterijen moeten worden vervangen als dat nodig is, net als bij elk ander elektronisch toestel. De levensduur van de batterij is onder andere afhankelijk van dagelijks gebruik, volumeniveaus, draadloze streaming, geluidsomgeving, programma-instelling en batterijvermogen. Zie afbeelding 5 1.
Nederlands OPMERKING • Zet voor een maximale levensduur van de batterij de geluidsprocessor uit als deze niet wordt gebruikt. • De levensduur van de batterij neemt af zodra de batterij aan lucht wordt blootgesteld (wanneer de plastic strip wordt verwijderd). Zorg er daarom voor dat u de plastic strip pas verwijdert als u de batterij gaat gebruiken. • Als de batterij lekt, vervang deze dan onmiddellijk. 2.
4. Slijtage 4.1 Veiligheidskoordje Zie afbeelding 7 Het veiligheidskoordje is ontworpen om het risico te verkleinen dat u uw processor laat vallen of kwijtraakt. U kunt het veiligheidskoordje aan uw kleding bevestigen met een klemmetje: 1. Houd het lusje aan het einde van het koordje tussen vinger en duim. 2. Haal de lus van voren naar achteren door het bevestigingsgaatje in de geluidsprocessor. 3. Haal de clip door de lus en trek strak aan. Bevestig het klemmetje aan uw kleding.
Nederlands 4.4 Draadloze apparaten U kunt Cochlear True Wireless™-apparaten gebruiken om uw luisterervaring te verbeteren. Raadpleeg uw audioloog of ga naar www.cochlear.com voor meer informatie over de beschikbare opties. U koppelt uw geluidsprocessor als volgt aan een draadloos apparaat: 1. Druk op de koppeltoets op uw draadloze apparaat. 2. Schakel uw geluidsprocessor uit door het batterijdeurtje te openen. 3. Schakel uw geluidsprocessor in door het batterijdeurtje te sluiten. 4.

6. Zorg 6.1 Zorg en onderhoud Uw geluidsprocessor is een delicaat elektronisch apparaat. Volg onderstaande richtlijnen om ervoor te zorgen dat hij naar behoren blijft functioneren: • • • • • • • • 74 Als u de geluidsprocessor en de klikkoppeling wilt schoonmaken, verwijdert u de geluidsprocessor van uw hoofd en gebruikt u de Baha-reinigingsset voor de geluidsprocessor en de bijbehorende instructies. De set wordt door Cochlear geleverd in de geluidsprocessorverpakking.
Nederlands Als uw geluidsprocessor nat wordt en niet goed werkt: 1. Verwijder de geluidsprocessor van het hoofd. 2. Open het batterijklepje en verwijder de batterij. 3. Plaats uw geluidsprocessor in een container met droogcapsules zoals een Dri-Aid-set, enz. Laat uw geluidsprocessor drogen. Droogsetjes zijn bij de meeste audiologen verkrijgbaar. 7.
8. Overige informatie 8.1 Geluidsprocessor en onderdelen • • • • • • 76 De geluidsprocessor is geschikt voor gebruik in een thuiszorgomgeving. Thuiszorgomgevingen omvatten locaties zoals huizen, scholen, kerken, restaurants, hotels, auto's en vliegtuigen. Het is minder waarschijnlijk dat apparatuur en systemen hier worden bediend door professionals in de gezondheidszorg.
Nederlands 8.2 Ernstige incidenten Ernstige incidenten komen zelden voor. Elk ernstig incident met betrekking tot uw hulpmiddel dient gemeld te worden aan uw Cochlear-vertegenwoordiger en, indien beschikbaar, aan de autoriteit voor medische hulpmiddelen in uw land. 8.
8.6 Elektromagnetische compatibiliteit (EMC) Interferentie kan voorkomen in de buurt van apparatuur die met het volgende symbool is gekenmerkt: Apparaten zoals metaaldetectoren op de luchthaven, diefstaldetectiesystemen in winkels en RFID-scanners (Radiofrequentie-id) kunnen sterke elektromagnetische velden produceren. Sommige Baha-gebruikers kunnen vervormde geluiden ervaren wanneer ze door één van deze apparaten heen lopen of erbij in de buurt komen.

4. Come indossare il dispositivo 4.1 Cordino di sicurezza Vedere figura 7 Il cordino di sicurezza è progettato per ridurre il rischio di caduta o perdita del processore. È possibile fissare un cordino di sicurezza che si agganci agli indumenti: 1. Afferrare l'asola sull'estremità del cordino di sicurezza con l'indice e il pollice. 2. Farla passare attraverso la relativa fessura sul processore del suono, dalla parte anteriore alla parte posteriore. 3.

L'ambiente sanitario domiciliare comprende luoghi come case, scuole, luoghi di culto, ristoranti, hotel, automobili e aeroplani, in cui è meno probabile che le apparecchiature e i sistemi siano gestiti da professionisti del settore sanitario.
