IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
A WARNINGS:
• Before using the charger, carefully read all instructions and warnings within
this manual as well as the battery manufacturer's specific precautions and
recommended rates of charge for the battery. Make sure to determine the
voltage and chemistry of the battery by referring to your battery owner's
manual prior
to
charging.
• Do not expose charger to rain
or
snow.
• The use of an attachment not recommended
or
sold by the battery charger
manufacturer may result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury
to
persons.
•
To
reduce risk of damage to the electric plug and cord , pull by the plug
rather than the cord when disconnecting the charger.
• An extension cord should not be used unless necessary. Use of an
improper extension cord could result in a risk of fire and electric shock.
If an extension cord must be used, make sure:
- That the pins on the plug of the extension cord are the same number,
size, and shape as those of the plug on the charger;
- That the extension cord is properly wired and
in
good electrical condition;
and
- That the wire size is large enough for the AC current rating of the battery
charger
• Do not operate the charger with a damaged cord or plug.
• Do not operate the charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped,
or
otherwise damaged
in
any
way.
•
To
reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug charger from the outlet before
attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
• Do not try to remove the integrated charging cord from the main housing
• If the product is intended by the purchaser to be used by a minor, the
purchasing adult agrees
to
provide detailed instructions and warnings to
any minor prior to use. Failure to do so is the sole responsibility of the
purchaser, who agrees to indemnify Cobra for any unintended use or
misuse by a minor.
