Supported Serial Rates
The 9005 will reclock 270 Mbps, 1.485 Gbps, and 3 Gbps signals. Signals of other rates will be
equalized and distributed to the outputs, and the reclocker will be bypassed.
Documentation Terms
The following terms are used throughout this guide:
• “Frame” refers to the 8321 frame (or equivalent) that houses the 9005 card.
• “Operator” and “User” both refer to the person who uses the 9005.
• “Board” and “Card” all refer to the 9005 card itself, including all components and
switches.
• “System” and “Video system” refers to the mix of interconnected production and
terminal equipment in which the 9005 operates.
