Secondary services
The Qube 3 Administrator can configure a secondary DNS server to provide
redundant DNS service to your computers. If the primary DNS server is
unavailable, the secondary DNS server takes over.
Figure 112 shows some sample entries in the Secondary Service List table.

Secondary service for a domain
To add a secondary name-server authority for a domain:
1. Select
Administration > Network Services > DNS
. The DNS Settings table
appears.
2. Click
Edit Secondary Services
above the table. The Secondary Service List
table appears.
3. Select Domain Secondary Service from the
Add Secondary Service...
pull-down menu. The Add Secondary Service table appears; see Figure 113.
4. In the first field, enter the domain name for which DNS information is served
by the IP address in the second field.
5. In the second field, enter the IP address of the primary DNS server for the
domain name specified in the first field.
6. Click
Save
. The Secondary Service List table reappears with the new entry.
7. To add another secondary service, select a service from the pull-down menu
again.
To apply the changes to the DNS settings, click
Apply Changes Now
. The
DNS Settings table appears.
