CacheRaQ ISP Cluster With L4 Switch
Installation Notes
• Configure the CacheRaQs for Transparent mode
using one network interface.
• No Cluster Master is needed (the L4 switch replaces
the Cluster Master).
• CacheRaQs can be connected either directly to the L4
switch or via a hub.
• Refer to the L4 switch’s manual for instructions on
configuring the cache redirection.
Advantages
• No Cluster Master is needed.
• This solution is scalable — you can have dozens of
CacheRaQs per switch.
• This is the fastest, largest-capacity solution.
Disadvantage
• The cost of the L4 switch.
