Setting Up the Cobalt CacheRaQ

The E button (“enter”) accepts the information entered.

Refer to Appendix A, “Using the LCD Console,” for more

information.

Conﬁguring Network Settings

Now that you’ve made the network and power connections,

you’re ready to conﬁgure the network settings. The settings that

are conﬁgured through the LCD console are the Network 1 IP

address, the Network 1 netmask, and the Gateway address.

Other network settings are conﬁgured through the web interface

(described in the next section).

Follow these steps to conﬁgure Network 1 manually:

1. When you see the prompt

NET1 IP ADDR:

000.000.000.000

enter the IP address for Network 1, using the control buttons

on the LCD console.

2. Press .

If the IP address is valid, the next prompt appears:

NET1 NETMASK:

255.000.000.000

3. Enter the netmask of Network 1, if the number shown is not

correct.

4. Press .

The LCD displays:

[S]AVE [C]ANCEL

5. Use the Left and Right buttons to select [S]ave or [C}ancel,

and then press .

If you select Cancel, you return to step 1, above. If you select

Save, the following prompt appears:

ENTER GATEWAY:

000.000.000.000

6. Enter the IP address of the gateway for your network.

7. Press .
