All warranty cards for all equipment shall be given to the owner in one folder without hole-punches or
staples. For equipment that will be installed and access to read the serial number will be difficult or
impossible, the contractor shall fill in the appropriate warranty card before installation.
System Remote Controls
All wireless/wired remotes for displays, VTRs, etc. to be collected and stored in or near production
room. Coordinate with owner to ensure one remote of each model is stored in Video Control Room.
Software Licensing and Manuals. Provide backup computer discs/thumb drives, all software manuals and
license certificates for all software loaded on all PC’s.
Produce compact system flow diagrams showing all components, cables, and wire numbers that will be
mounted on the wall of each equipment room and of the control booth. A maximum of 2 flow diagrams will
be mounted on any equipment room wall. Photographically reproduced as-built wiring diagrams at a
reduced scale, easy to handle, but fully legible. Blueline (or similar diazo process) prints are not acceptable.
After approval, drawings will be mounted behind clear acetate and located with the equipment racks.
Asbestos and PCB Certification: After completion of installation, but prior to Substantial Completion,
Contractor will certify in writing that products and materials installed, and processes used, do not contain
asbestos or polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB).
Provide a complete list of spares inventory to include quantity, manufacturer, model number, and serial
number.
1.8 CODE COMPLIANCE
All work and materials shall comply with all applicable codes and regulations to meet or exceed Federal,
State, City, and Local Building Codes and Regulations. Advise the Architect if anything in the Plans or
Specifications is out of compliance with codes and/or laws prior to bidding.
Comply with General Conditions and Section 01600/Materials and Equipment of CSI manual.
1.9 GUARANTEES
The Contractor shall warrant new equipment to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for not less
than one year after date of Substantial Completion. Defects occurring in labor or materials within one-year
warranty shall be rectified by replacement or repair. Within the warranty period, provide answer to service
calls and requests for information within a 24-hour period, and repair or replace any faulty item within a 72-
hour period without charge, including parts and labor. This warranty period does not extend to any existing
equipment which is reused in the project.
This warranty shall not void specific warranties issued by manufacturers for greater periods of time. Nor
shall it void any rights guaranteed to the Owner by law.
Contractor to provide Owner with exact beginning and ending dates of the warranty period. Include the
name of the person to call for service and telephone number. This information to be part of Project Record
Set.
