Round 4: Ch 1, Fptr around first dc
2 rounds below, dc in next st, *Fptr
around next dc 2 rounds below, dc in
next st; repeat from * around; join with
slip st in first dc.
Rounds 5–12: Repeat Rounds 1–4 twice
or until Side measures 7" (18 cm);
change color to 2 strands of B. Cut all
strands of A.
Top
Round 1: With smaller hook, ch 1,
working in back loops only, sc in each st
around; join with slip st in first sc—90 sc.
Round 2: Ch 1, dc in first 8 sts, 2 dc in
next st, *dc in next 8 sts, 2 dc in next st;
repeat from * around; join with slip st in
first dc—100 dc.
Round 3: Ch 1, dc in each st around; join
with slip st in first dc
Repeat Round 3 until Top measures 6"
(15 cm)
Eyelet Round: Ch 1, dc in first dc, *ch 1,
skip next dc, dc in next dc; repeat from
* around to last dc, ch 1 skip last dc; join
with slip st in first dc—50 dc and 50 ch-1
spaces.
Last round: Ch 1, sc in each dc and ch-1
space around, join with slip st in first dc.
Fasten off.
Drawstring
With smaller hook and 2 strands of
B held together, work as many ch as
necessary for a 44-inch drawstring.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave drawstring through ch-1 spaces
of Eyelet Round. Knot ends together to
secure.
Weave in ends.
