Enabling and Disabling Daemons
Daemons are programs that run in the background. They are often used to provide services such as
web access, FTP, and email service. The following daemons are enabled when the UC-7400-LX
Plus boots up.
snmpd ..........SNMP Agent daemon
telnetd..........Telnet Server / Client daemon
inetd .............Internet Daemons
ftpd...............FTP Server / Client daemon
sshd ..............Secure Shell Server daemon
httpd.............Apache WWW Server daemon
Type the command “ps” to list all processes currently running.
