Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 About CBR-970/971
CBR-970 is a small wireless broadband router; it provides Ethernet link interfaces and connects to
Internet via broadband DSL/Cable modems (and USB interface 3.5G dongles for CBR-971).
Additionally it automatically detects user environment‟s WAN settings to achieve intelligent “Plug &
Play”, thus making internet experience easier and more enjoyable.
While sharing internet connection with multiple computers, CBR-970 uses security mechanisms such
as firewall and QoS to ensure the security level and connection quality of the networking environment.
It is a networking solution designed specifically for household and personal applications, emphasizing
high security, reliability and ease of use.
CBR-970‟s unique power saving feature, including Green AP function, helps to reduce up to 80% power
consumption when there is no network traffic detected.
