After purchasing an additional plug-in for your Plugiator ASX you will download a *.PIL
file which you install using the Plug-in Manager Software via the „Options/Configure
Plugiator“ dialog. To allow installation, you will be supplied with an Activation Key which is
specific to your personal Plugiator ASX hardware.

While some sample based keyboards just need to set another pointer to switch a sound (and
thereby switch sounds within a split second), you expansion board has to load a new software
program onto the DSP. It therefore may take 1-3 seconds to engage a new plug-in on your
hardware. Keep in mind that the Plugiator ASX does not rely on playback of sampled sounds
but emulates real synthesizers via software technology.
