UL TRIX Configuration

VAX

and

DEC systems

using

UL TRIX software

must

be

manually

configured

to access

the

CBI-lOlO boards. First, examine

current

configuration file to

determine

which

controllers

and

devices are

already

connected

to

the system.

Then

refer to the respective sections for configuration

procedures

for the

CBI-lOlO/T, CBI-lOlO/M, CBI-lOlO/MB, CBI-lOlO/TM.

Edit

the

configuration file

by

performing

the following instructions for the

CBI-lOlO/T. Note,

th~

CBI-lOlO/T

must

be

configured

with

a

higher

klesib

number,

higher

uq number,

and

higher

tms number

than

any

otherklesib

controller

in

the configuration file.

Make

sure

the following

two

lines are

in

the configuration file:

adapter

xmiO

at

nexus? (this line only for VAX 6000's

and

58l0's)

adapter vaxbi&

at

nexus?

Where

? =

the

system will fill

in

this variable (simply

enter

this

?).

& =

the

XMI

node

ID

of

the

XMI to

BI

adapter

for 6000's

and

58l0's

(on

8200's use 0, zero, for

the

variable).

Connect

the

controller to the

node

on

the

BI

bus

by

entering the

following line:

controller klesibf}

at

vaxbi& node
