Transport Controls
Time Code Display
The Time Code display has eight 7-segment LED nu-
meric displays and 3 mode LED’s to the left of the
display. These mode LED’s indicate the current time
display format.
“t.c.” LED on = Timecode display format:
HOURS:MINUTES:SECONDS:FRAMES
“feet” LED on = Timecode display format:
FEET:FRAMES
“beats” LED on = Timecode display format:
BARS:BEATS
no LED on = Timecode display format:
MINUTES:SECONDS
or
SAMPLES
The display uses periods as delimiters. The timecode
display mode is set in ProTools from the big counter
window. Some time displays, such as
MINUTES:SECONDS have a least significant digit
display in thousandths of a second (three characters).
These values will be displayed with 2 digit accuracy.
The right most period blinks on and off when MotorMate
is on-line.
Transport Switches
These switches activate the DAW basic transport func-
tions. The Rewind and Fast Forward switches can be
either Momentary or Latching types. See Page 26 under
UTILITY mode for details
Adding Locate Points to Memory
Locate points can be entered to memory by pressing
ENTER as the transport is running (it uses the next free
location). Press ENTER a second time to add the point to
the list, or press ESC to cancel without entering it.
Next and Last Locate
Press and hold the SHIFT switch, and the FFWD and
REWD switches move the transport to the next or last
locate point in the locate window.
Locate Mode
Press the LOCATE switch, the software locate list will
open on screen, and the LOCATE and ESC LED’s will
begin to flash indicating that locate mode is active. When
locate mode is on, the labels in grey beside the lower
panel switches indicate their use. Pressing one or two
number switches followed by GO recalls a memory
position. Press ESC (in grey next to the DELETE switch)
to exit locate mode, and the on screen locate list will
disappear. If you want to exit locate, but leave the locate
list on-screen, hold down SHIFT as you pres ESC.
Enter Pre Roll, In, Out, or Post Roll. Method 1
The MULTI switches must first be
in PUNCH mode by pressing the
Multi Mode switch labelled PUNCH
switch so the PUNCH LED is on.
Press and hold SHIFT and ALL together then press either
PRE, IN, OUT, or POST or POST. The PRE, IN, OUT, or
POST LED will blink then to indicate that you are editing
that value.
The current time will be displayed on the MotorMate
timecode display, and the current edit field will blink on
and off.
