Functionality for Switches #9–16
Switches #9–16 have the same functionality for
all seven presets:
◆ Switch 9: Option
◆ Switch 10: Shift
◆ Switch 11: Control
◆ Switch 16: Cycles through the switch modes
(Mute, Solo, Track Record-Arming, Selection,
and Memory Location)
When the Mix window is the current active
window:
◆ Switch 12: Bank swaps eight channel strips to
the left
◆ Switch 13: Bank swaps eight channel strips to
the right
◆ SHIFT (Switch 10)+Switch 12: Bank scrolls to
the left by a single channel strip
◆ SHIFT (Switch 10)+Switch 13: Bank scrolls to
the right by a single channel strip
◆ Switch 14: go to prior plug-in parameter page
◆ Switch 15: go to next plug-in parameter page
◆ SHIFT (Switch 10)+Switch 14: Go to top plug-
in parameter page
◆ SHIFT (Switch 10)+Switch 15: Go to bottom
plug-in parameter page
When the Edit window is the current active
window:

izontal view (time axis)

Transport Control of External
Devices
The PC–1600 can be used to control devices
other than Pro Tools, such as the Alesis ADAT or
serial (9–pin) machine control transports (using
the MachineControl option for Pro Tools).
To control external devices or Pro Tools:
1 Configure the Transport Master selector (in
the Pro Tools Transport window) by designating
the external device. See the Pro Tools Reference
Guide for more information.
2 While pressing Switch 11 (CONTROL), press
Switch 6 (Online) to cycle through available
transport master types (Pro Tools, Serial Ma-
chine, ADAT).
The RECORD switch LED reflects the state of the
device under control.
