Installation Instructions

Step 3: Finish your stone column with a cap!
Secure your 2-Piece cap by applying construction adhesive on the
top of your column's last section and pressing cap firmly in place.
Double check that the cap’s alignment is correct!
Use shims if necessary, to achieve a tight, square/level fit.
For gaps around the column, cap, and post, use backer rod or furring
strips to ensure a snug fit.
Caulk the gap between the column cap and top pieces of your column
with a colored caulk to match the cap color and prevent water infiltration.
Admire your work!
You may want to add post trim over your cap to
complete the look.

Step 1: Set up your base row.
Center your first row by lining up your first 4 pieces around the post, measuring from the
inside edges.
Secure your first corner piece by screwing both the bottom and top fastening ties into the post.
You do not need construction adhesive to secure to the substrate, but you may choose to do so!
Place a small strip of construction adhesive along the left side of this piece.
Install the second corner piece to the left of your first, secure both the bottom and top
fastening tie to the post and apply another small strip of construction adhesive along this
piece's left side.
Following the same steps as you did for the first and second piece, install your third piece,
continuing to work right to left, or clockwise, around your column post:
Continue to add construction adhesive to the outside edges between each piece.
Now install your fourth piece, the last piece on your first section of column:
In this instance, you only need to screw the top fastening tie into the post.
Again, use a small strip of construction adhesive on the outside edges of this final piece.
Check that you first full section is centered and level. If needed, adjust pieces with a rubber
mallet and plastic shims to achieve a tight and level fit.
Step 2: Continue adding rows.
Continue to install sections using the same method described above in step one.
As you work around your post, place a small strip of construction adhesive on each
top piece of your last section, as well as between pieces along the edges.
Continue this pattern for as tall as you want your column, one foot at a time.
As you add each row, check that each section does not twist and alignment does
not shift as you move up the column, by taking a step back at each completed
section and reviewing the rows as you go.
