Demand the Best - Denand Digital Ready
It is not uncommon for families to have more than three
televisions in the one household. Families are now enjoying
the benefi ts of the digital age for entertainment and
education.
Digital TV is “free to view” and has many benefi ts over the
old analogue system. These benefi ts include:
• sharper pictures
• clearer sound
• wide screen
• extra channels
• radio channels
electronic program guides.
You should have a digital ready cabling system
for your home before the analogue cut-off
in approximately 2012.
Deadline for analogue TV
Analogue TV signals will be cut off in the not too distant
future. This means that if you are building a new home you
should install digital TV cabling.
Don’t get caught out with an inferior installation. You may
be disappointed and out of pocket if you have to re-cable
your home.
What will happen if my cabling system is not
ready for digital TV?
If your cabling system is not digital TV ready, you may
experience the following:
No picture at all – Gone are the days of snowy and fuzzy
pictures, if the signal is of a poor quality due to the cabling
system then you may not be able to view a digital signal at all
Intermittent picture/No picture – You may receive a digital
TV signal but it may drop in and out while you are watching
your favourite shows
Boxing – Large blocks within a picture that occurs when the
signal received is distorted
Pixelation – Small boxing of the picture. It generally affects
the overall picture, not just a small block.
