3.3 Typical Vertical Network Topology
ThefundamentalprincipleofaVerticalCBusNetworkTopology,isthattheCBusnetworkwill
runvertically.Soonacommercialinstallationwithmultiplelevels,asingleCBusnetworkwill
control a certain area of each level. Each network may be programmed using multiple
Applicationswithinthelightingrange,toidentifyeachlevel.
Thisconfigurationiscommonlyusedinthedesignofstadiumsandarenas.Moststa
diumsand
arenas have a number of levels. So rather than have one or more CBus networks control each
floor,oneCBusnetworkwill
controleachlevelofasectionofthestadiumorarena.
Each vertical CBus network will usually be connected via an Ethernet or CBus
backbone.
