2.6 Group Addressing
Whencreatingnewnetworks,itisveryimportanttomanagethegroupaddressesthatarebeing
usedon allothernetworks.Thiswillensurethatyoudonotusetwoidenticalgroupaddresses
tocontroldifferentoutputs.
An example of this is that you may have a relay on the local network, and a dimmer on the
remote network.Bothof these units areusingthe Lighting Application (56 or 38h),and Group
Address 01. The problem is that on the Local Network, Group Addres
s 01 might control the
Kitchen Lights, where Group Address 01 on the Remote Network may control the Bedroom
Lights.
Toavoidthis itisrecommended th
ateachtimeyoucreateanewC‐Busnetwork, youcopy the
Tags you have already created to the new network.
This way you can ensure that there is no
duplicationofcommongroupaddressesacrossnetworks.
