2.4.1 CreatingANetwork Online

Themostsimplewaytoprogramanetworkbridgeistousethe‘MakeNetworks’buttonwhile
youareconnectedtothenetworkusingToolkit.Followthestepsbelow toprogramthenetwork
bridge.
 1) ScantheC‐BusLocalNetwork.YouwillseethatanewNetworkBridgewillshowupat
UnitAddres
s255(likeallothernewC‐Busunits).
 2) Readdress the Unit Address of the Network Bridge to the Network Address of the
networkthatyouareabouttocreate.Bydefaulteachlocalnetworkhas
theaddress254,
so the next recommended Network Address is 253 (it is best to use network addresses
thatworkbackwardsfrom254.Eg.253,252,251,250etc).



 3) You will now see that the Unit Address of the Network Bridge has changed to Unit
