WARNING - INCORRECT FITTING OR POSITIONING OF THIS SAFETY BARRIER CAN BE DANGEROUS Fixing surfaces must be suitable for the purpose and structurally sound. This product requires the purchase of appropriate fixing aids suitable for the surface to which the wall cups and/or hinges are to be fitted.
Pressure Installation 1 Measure the width of the opening you wish to place the gate in. A+ 1 E + 5 X = 78,5 86 cm B + 1 F + 5 X = 86 92 cm C+ 1 F + 4 X = 92 99 cm D+ 1 F + 3 X = 99 106 cm E + 1 F + 2 X = 71,5 78,5 cm 2 Adjust the two gate sections to one of the five positions shown, according to the size of the opening you intend to fit the gate in. Align the holes on both gate sections.
3 Mark the position for the wall fixings ‘C’ on one of the wall surfaces. The hole for the lower wall fixings should be 26mm from the floor. The hole for the upper wall fixings should be 691mm from the floor. Fix the wall fixings ‘C’ using the appropriate fixings depending on the surface available: wood screws for wooden surfaces, multi-use dowel and concrete screws for concrete surfaces, multi-use dowel and cement screws for cement surfaces, metal screws for metal surfaces. These screws are not provided.
Place the gate in the desired opening and push the latch downwards gently. The screw adjusters will extend and the latch should ‘click’ into place indicating that the gate is secure. If you feel a lot of resistance STOP and screw the screw adjusters further into the frame. Check the pressure indicators on the frame. When the gate is under no pressure, there should be no metal visible in the viewer.
7 Continue to adjust the screw adjusters until the metal in the viewer lines up with the lines on the frame when the gate is securely closed. Make sure that the distance between the wall and the latch side of the frame is no less than 22mm and no more than 47mm, and the distance between the wall and the other side of the frame is no less than 18mm and no more than 63mm.

3 Mark the position for the wall fixings ‘C’ on one of the wall surfaces. The hole for the lower wall fixing should be 53mm from the floor. The hole for the upper wall fixing should be 717mm from the floor. 5 Screw the 2 screw adjusters ‘D’ into the holes on the latch side of the gate, screw the hinge spindles ‘E’ into the holes on the opposite side of the gate. D 2 E 2 6 Place the gate in the desired opening and push the latch downwards gently. The screw adjusters will extend and the latch should ‘click’ into place indicating that the gate is secure. If you feel a lot of resistance STOP and screw the screw adjusters further into the frame. Check the pressure indicators on the frame.
7 If the metal in the viewer does not line up with the lines on the frame the screw adjusters need to be adjusted. Open the latch and unscrew each of the screw adjusters to increase the pressure. 8 Continue to adjust the screw adjusters until the metal in the viewer lines up with the lines on the frame when the gate is securely closed.
9 Close the gate and place the hinge-covers ‘G’ on the hinges. These can later be removed using a screwdriver.
F Using the Gate 2 1 Ensure the gate is in the open position by pressing the button (1) and then lifting the latch (2), this will retract the screw adjusters. Always check that the gate is closed and locked before leaving unattended. G Check the gate periodically to ensure that the wall surface, wall cups, spindles and locking devices are all functioning correctly.
