AutoLock™ and AutoUnLock™
For additional safety, AutoLock automatically locks all of your vehicle’s doors
when you start the engine. Conversely, AutoUnLock unlocks the doors for
you and your passengers when you turn the ignition off. To deactivate (or
reactivate) this feature, see How to Set User-Selectable Features on pages 9-10.
Smart Prior Intrusion Attempt Alert
If the alarm was activated while you were away, when you disarm with the
remote control your Nova III will issue three chirps and three parking
light flashes instead of the usual one chirp/one flash.
NOTE: Since this is a warning indication, you will hear the 3-chirp signal
even if you are using the chirp muting feature.
When you enter your vehicle, the LED status indicator will be blinking 1-3
times, pause, then repeat the blink cycle four more times to indicate the
trigger/sensor that detected the intrusion attempt. Count the number of
blinks per cycle and refer to the table below:
LED Blinks Trigger/Sensor that Detected the Intrusion Attempt
1 blink Magnetic Resonance Sensor or optional sensor(s)
2 blinks Door trigger
3 blinks Hood or trunk trigger
LED Status Indicator
The LED status indicator on your vehicle’s dashboard or console is used to
