Removing the PCMCIA Assembly
1. Remove the battery (page 2 - 6), HDD (page 2 - 7), keyboard (page 2 - 9), system memory (page 2 - 8 & page 2 -
10), CPU (page 2 - 11), modems (page 2 - 12), LCD assembly (page 2 - 13) and mainboard (page 2 - 15).
2. Turn the mainboard over to access the bottom and remove screws & (
Figure 2 - 14a).
3. Turn the mainboard back over and use a pair of tweezers or small screwdriver to carefully push the metal assembly
off the plastic pins at points & (
Figure 2 - 14b).
4. Remove the PCMCIA assembly from the mainboard (
Figure 2 - 14c).
