Removing the CPU
1. Turn OFF the computer and remove the battery (see page 2 - 5).
2. Remove the screws - (Figure 2 - 6), and remove the CPU cover .
3. Remove the five screws from the heat sink in order - as indicated (Figure 2 - 7).

Caution
The heat sink, and
CPU area in general,
contains parts which
are subject to high
temperatures - Please
allow the area time to
cool before removing
these parts).
Reassembly Screw
Order
When inserting a new
or replacement CPU,
make sure you insert
the screws in the same
order indicated in Fig-
ure 2 - 7.
