Step 6
Route LATCH belt through the Forward-Facing
Belt Path as follows:
• Holding the LATCH lower connector
closest to the adjuster, route LATCH belt
through the Forward-Facing Belt Path
so that the LATCH belt passes through
both red Forward-Facing Belt Guides, as
shown in Figure 73.
• Check that the LATCH belt has no twists
in it, and that the red release buttons are
facing away from car seat, as shown in
Figure 73a.
Step 7
Check that the entire LATCH belt is laying
at, placed correctly through the Forward-
Facing Belt Guides, and NOT between the
Harness and seat, as shown in Figure 74.

Step 8
Place car seat Forward-Facing in the vehicle
seating location selected, and connect
each LATCH lower connector to each
corresponding vehicle LATCH lower anchor.
For each connector:
• Press the LATCH Connector against the
LATCH lower anchor until you hear the
LATCH Connector click, as shown in
Figure 75.
• Pull on LATCH Connector to check that it
is securely locked on the vehicle LATCH
lower anchor.
IMPORTANT: Check that there are no twists
in the LATCH belt, and that LATCH belt is
contained in both red Forward-Facing Belt
Guides.
Step 9
Position car seat so it is touching the vehicle
seat back, and tighten LATCH belt to secure
it.
• Press down in center of car seat to
depress the vehicle seat cushion, and
pull on the end of the LATCH belt to
tighten as shown in Figure 76.
