Removing Rear-Facing Car Seat Installed With LATCH
Step 1
Loosen LATCH Belt by pressing the adjuster
button on the LATCH Belt adjuster and pulling
out on LATCH Belt as shown in Figure 50.
• Pressing down in center of car seat to
reduce tension on LATCH Belt will make
it easier to loosen LATCH belt.
Step 2
Remove LATCH Push-on Connectors from
vehicle lower anchors.
• Press and hold red release button while
pulling LATCH push-on Connectors as
shown in Figure 51.
• Repeat to remove push-on connector on
opposite side.
Step 3
Remove this car seat from vehicle.
Step 4
Store the LATCH Belt, see “LATCH Belt
Storage” on page 82.
Installing Rear-Facing Car Seat With Vehicle Belt
WARNING — DEATH or
SERIOUS INJURY can occur
• Not all vehicle belts are safe for use with this car seat. Read your vehicle
owner’s manual and the “Vehicle Belt Requirements” section in this manual.
• Vehicle Belt must be routed through Rear-Facing Belt Path when car seat is
installed Rear-Facing.
Note: Use of the Anti-Rebound Bar with this
car seat is optional. In some vehicles it may
be easier to achieve a secure installation, at
the correct recline angle for your child either
with or without the Anti-Rebound Bar. The
installation process is the same with or without
the Anti-Rebound Bar.
Step 1
Rotate Recline Foot to Rear-Facing position by
pulling on edge of Recline Foot and rotating it
towards the front of the seat until it locks in to
position, as shown in Figure 52.
