Change the number of rings before pickup
By default, your answering machine picks up calls
after the sixth ring. You can set it to pick up after
2-8 rings.
If you use the answering machine together with
voicemail and call waiting service, you must set the
number of rings before pickup to be less than the
number of rings before pickup for voicemail service.
Voicemail pickup is determined by your service
provider. For more information, see page 95.
To change the number of rings before pickup
1. Press the TAM soft key in standby mode.
2. Press Up
key or Down key repeatedly
to choose TAM Setting, and then press the
Select soft key.
3. Press Up
key or Down key repeatedly
to choose Set Ring, press the Select soft key.
4. Use Up
key or Down key to choose
the number of rings (2 Rings - 8 Rings or Toll
Saver), press the Select key.
Answering machine
