The IR/RS232 Settings tab allows you to configure settings for the external system. Consult the manual of the
interfaced system for the appropriate settings.
NOTE: If IR is used, there are no communications settings to define. The remote control for the device is required
to learn the IR commands. See IR Tools in Chapter 7.
Table 5-66 provides information on the fields on the IR/RS232 Settings tab.
5. After adjusting information, select Apply.
6. Select the Labels tab.
The Labels tab for the ControLinX using the General Purpose Driver displays in the right side of the window
(see Figure 5-78).

Tab Selection Description
IR/RS232 Settings Service Name A display field used to identify the device name.
Driver The driver used for the device connected to the ControLinX.
Driver File
Designates which Lua File is loaded onto the ControLinX.
This will not change unless a custom driver file is being used.
Control Type
For the Generic Driver these settings are dependent on the
device being hosted by the ControLinX100.
Enable Service Enables or disables functionality.
Baud Rate Information provided by the manufacturer of the attached
device.
Data Bits Information provided by the manufacturer of the attached
device.
Parity Information provided by the manufacturer of the attached
device.
Stop Bits Information provided by the manufacturer of the attached
device.
