58 Tempest®24 00 4-Channel Wireless Intercom System
Split Mode
In Split mode, users are opera ng in a combina on of Normal
and Shared mode. This mode o ers the use of 4 BeltSta ons (per
BaseSta on) that u lize the standard any me talk back capability
and allows an unlimited number of “shared” BeltSta ons to listen
and talk on the nal slot. In this mode, shared BeltSta ons have
no control over which channel they operate on. The channel is
designated at the BaseSta on.
» Unlimited number of (shared) BeltSta ons may be used
in addi on to the 4 BeltSta ons opera ng in Normal
mode; BeltSta ons are inherently full duplex (talk/listen
at the same  me) and are physically no di erent than a
BeltSta on opera ng in Normal mode.
» Shared BeltSta ons operate in momentary talk mode;
only one shared BeltSta on may u lize the talk
func on at any given  me.
» Each BeltSta on is capable of features such as Stage
Announce, Wireless ISO, and Relays; however, each
ac on takes up the only shared talk path so long as it is
triggered.
» Shared BeltSta ons are unable to provide telemetry to
the BaseSta on or T-Desk, thus no BeltSta on se ngs
can be
adjusted from the BaseStation or T-Desk.
» Volume of the BeltSta on that is ac vely talking is dynamically reduced to minimize the e ect of echo.
