BeltSta on Setup

Steps to Setup the BeltSta ons

• Install the ba ery.

• “Pair” BeltSta ons to the BaseSta on.

• Adjust slot se ngs as needed.

• Connect a headset.

• Adjust Mic Gain.

• Adjust Sidetone.

• Con gure op onal features:

» Name the BeltSta on.

» Disable unused func ons, channels, and bu ons.

» Select/disable relay op ons as needed.

» Adjust personal preferences.

Ba ery Selec on and Installa on

The Tempest BeltSta on Ba ery Compartment holds either one Tempest Lithium-Polymer rechargeable ba ery or three

standard alkaline AA cells. Lithium-Polymer ba eries are the primary power source. High quality alkaline AA cells may be

used in situa ons where Lithium-Polymer ba eries are not available or are not charged. One Lithium-Polymer ba ery

comes standard with each Tempest BeltSta on. Addi onal Lithium-Polymer ba eries may be purchased. Contact your

dealer or distributor to purchase addi onal ba eries. The Lithium-Polymer ba eries supplied with your Tempest Wireless

system are warranted for 90 days from the date of purchase.

Lithium-Polymer ba eries o er up to nine hours of ba ery life and recharge in

approximately 2¾ hours.

Lithium-Polymer ba eries ship from the factory with approximately 50% charge. It

will not damage the Lithium-Polymer ba eries to use them without charging them

 rst. This will, however result in shorter run  me un l the Lithium-Polymer ba ery

is fully charged. When possible, charge Lithium-Polymer ba eries to full capacity to

ensure full ba ery life prior to use.

Using (3) alkaline AA ba eries can provide up to four hours of ba ery life. Use

only high quality alkaline AA cells. This will provide enough  me to fully charge the

Lithium-Polymer ba ery.

To remove the ba ery door, press down on the thumb markings and pull the ba ery door toward the bo om of the

BeltSta on.

To remove ba eries from the ba ery compartment, turn the BeltSta on ba ery side down and tap the bo om of the

BeltSta on on the palm of your other hand.

Please be careful to insert alkaline AA ba eries according to the marked polarity. All of the alkaline AA cells must be

oriented the same direc on.

If the ba ery cover does not close properly, the ba ery may not be inserted correctly.
