How to use
Do not rotate the cleaner base, or turn it to the side while the
device is in operation. This can cause bad scalds or damage to
property.
Never touch the underside of the appliance while it is in operation.
Do not allow the appliance to stay in any one position longer than
10 seconds while it is in operation; never clean the same spot for
longer than 10 seconds.
Never direct the steam at people or pets.
Never direct the steam directly at items containing electrical
components (such as inside ovens, fridges, at switches and lights,
microwave ovens etc.).
In order avoid damaging the surfaces to be cleaned make sure that
the oor cloth remains rmly fastened to the cleaner base.
Never use the appliance without water! Make sure that the reser-
voir is lled with water.
When the appliance moves into an upright position the pump, and therefore the
steam generation function, are automatically deactivated. The pump switches back
on when the appliance is moved to an inclined position. This minimises the risk of
damage and also makes it easier to handle the appliance.
We recommend that before starting to steam clean, you sweep the oor with a broom, or clean
with a vacuum cleaner.
1. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed and earthed 220V - 240V mains socket with
earthing contacts. The indicator lamp (12) switches on.
2. Place the steam mop onto the oor and wait for 30 - 60
seconds, until the appliance has reached its operating tempera-
ture.
On rst use, water may emerge from the steam nozzle.
3. Switch the appliance on by moving the on/off switch (14) to the
1 position.
4. Hold the appliance by the handle and lower the shaft (and the
housing) gently towards the oor. This activates the pump inside
the appliance. A pumping noise can be heard, and steam ows
out of the underside of the cleaner base.
Note: In some circumstances it may take a little while for the
pump to start.
5. Clean the ooring by gently moving the cleaner base forwards and back.
6. If the steam mop stops producing steam, if you wish to remove the oor cloth, or if you have
nished cleaning the oor, set the appliance back into upright position. The appliance engages
into upright position.
7. Once no further steam is emerging from the cleaner base, switch the on/off switch to off
(position 0) and remove the plug from the mains socket. Allow the appliance to cool.
Caution! After use the oor cloth may still be very hot. If you wish
to remove it, wait a few minutes for it to cool down.
