3. Insert the lower end of the shaft into the shaft holder (7) located
on the appliance until the release button (9) audibly engages into
the corresponding hole.
To dismantle the shaft, press the release button (9) and at the
same time pull the shaft out of the holder. Then pull the upper
and the lower shafts apart.
Any water residues in the reservoir are due to the fact that the appliance was tested
after assembly.
Putting into operation
Before using the appliance always check the oorcloth for wear.
Do not use it if it shows any signs of wear! It could damage your
ooring!
The appliance must not be plugged into the mains while you are
lling it with water.
You should use only distilled water so as not to damage the appli-
ance.
Do not use more than one measuring cup of distilled water lled
to the MAX FILL marker to ll the water tank.
Do not put any cleaning agent, aromatic agents or other chemical
substance into the water reservoir.
1. The oor cloths (16 and 17) come with hook and loop fastener
strips. Use the hook and loop fastener strips to fasten the oor
cloth to the underside of the cleaning base, ensuring that the the
cloth is smooth on the base.
Simply pull the oor cloth off to remove it.
2. Fill the measuring cup (19) up to the MAX FILL marker with distilled water.
3. Pull the sealing cap up from the lling aperture of the water reservoir (8).
4. Place the funnel (20) into the lling aperture and pour the water
from the measuring cup into the water reservoir.
5. Replace the sealing cap onto the lling aperture on the water
reservoir.
6. To clean carpets or rough surfaces place the cleaner base (10)
into the carpet tray (18) so that the oor cloth does not wrinkle
and to make the steam mop easier to handle.
7. Push the mains cable into the central cable holder (5).
