5. The back of the dust lter (E) consists of a black foam l-
ter (D) which can be removed. Remove it and tap out the
contents of the lter over a dustbin and brush off the loose
dirt. As required, you may rinse the foam lter (!) (D) using
clear, lukewarm water. CAUTION: Never clean the foam
lter in a washing machine or dishwasher! Then press
out the lter and allow it to dry completely in the air before
reinserting it in the dust lter.
6. Remove the plastic dust lter from the dust container.
7. If necessary, thoroughly rinse the dust container and the
plastic dust lter with clear, lukewarm water. CAUTION:
Do not under any circumstances clean the dust con-
tainer or the plastic dust lter in a washing machine
or dishwasher! Then shake off any excess water and al-
low the lter to dry completely in the air before reinserting
it.
8. Place the plastic dust lter back into the dust container, place the dust lter back with
the foam lter on the plastic dust lter and then put the dust container lid back on
the dust container. Screw the dust container lid rmly onto the dust container so that
the arrow marking on the dust container lid points towards the closed lock symbol
on the dust container.
9. Place the dust container into the device: Hold it by the handle and place the bot-
tom of the container into the device rst. Then push the handle against the device
housing until the dust container is heard to lock in place. Hold the device by the
handle and lift it to check that the dust container is in the correct position.
Cleaning the Exhaust Air Filter
The exhaust air lter is located in the compartment on the back of the vacuum cleaner
(see „Items Supplied and Device Overview“ chapter, „Rear View“ section).
1. Press the lter compartment lid catch and remove the lid.
2. Remove the exhaust air lter by pulling it down and out of
the lter compartment.
3. Tap out the contents of the exhaust air lter over a dustbin
and brush off the loose dirt. Wipe down the dust container
using a damp cloth.
4. If necessary, thoroughly rinse the exhaust air lter using
clear, lukewarm water. CAUTION: Do not under any cir-
cumstances clean the lter in a washing machine or
dishwasher! Then shake off any excess water and allow
the lter to dry completely in the air before reinserting it.
5. When all parts are dry, insert the exhaust air lter in the lter compartment.
6. Place the lter compartment lid onto the exhaust lter compartment. It must engage
audibly.
