Do not operate the device in a very damp environment or in the
vicinity of combustible material.
Immediately after ironing, place the still hot device down a mini-
mum distance of 15 cm away from walls, furniture and other
objects.
Always check the device for damage before putting it into op-
eration. Only use the device if it along with the mains cable and
plug have no signs of damage!
In the event of damage/faults, switch the device off immediately.
Do not make any changes to the device. Also do not replace
the mains cable yourself. Only ever have repairs to the device,
cable and plug carried out in a specialist workshop. Contact
the customer service department if necessary. Incorrect repairs
may pose considerable risks to the user.
Be aware of damage caused by re! Never iron on one spot for
too long. Never leave the hot bottom of the iron standing on the
fabric or another heat-sensitive surface!
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid
over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot sur-
faces.
Only iron on a stable, at, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant
surface. We recommend that you use a standard ironing board.
Do not iron on surfaces made from glass or plastic.
Always work with suf cient lighting.
Never exceed the maximum ll level (note MAX marking on the
water reservoir!). If possible, only ll the device with distilled
water.
Never pour any descaling or cleaning agent or other chemical
additives into the device. This may destroy the device and safe
working is no longer guaranteed.
Open the water reservoir cover only to ll the water reservoir.
Otherwise keep the cover closed while operating the iron.
Never cover up the steam nozzles and do not stick any objects
into them.
