Troubleshooting
If the device should stop working properly, fi rst check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself. If you are not, contact the customer service department (see the "Cus-
tomer Service" chapter).
Do not try to repair a faulty device yourself!
Problem Possible cause/solution
The device generates no suc-
tion.
• Is the plug inserted in the mains socket correctly?
• Is the mains socket defective? Try another mains
socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• Is the device switched on? Press the On/Off button.
Low suction force.
• Is the exhaust air valve in the handle open? Close it.
• Adjust the suction strength on the suction strength
control.
• Is the dust container full? Empty the dust container.
• Is the HEPA fi lter or one of the other fi lters clogged
up? Clean the fi lters.
• Is the nozzle, the telescopic tube or the suction hose
clogged? Pull the mains plug out of the socket and
remove the objects causing the blockage from the
nozzle, telescopic tube and/or suction hose.
Dust escapes from the device
during cleaning.
Check whether the HEPA dust fi lter is inserted into the
dust container correctly and whether the dust container
is closed and inserted correctly. Correct this if necessary.
Unusual odour
A new odour is normal when the device is used for the
fi rst time and this does not indicate a defect with the
device. The odour will disappear after a little while.
