Before using the device, always check the oor cloth for signs of wear. A oor cloth
that is worn or has holes in it must not be used. The fl ooring could be damaged.
If the device is parked after use, a wet spot may form beneath the cleaning foot.
With sensitive oors, a cloth should therefore be placed beneath the cleaning
foot or parking for a prolonged period of time should be avoided.
1. Give the fl oor a sweep and / or vacuum before using the device.
2. Assemble the device (see the “Assembly” chapter and “Functions of the Attach-
ments”).
3. Fill the water tank (11) (see the “Filling the Water Tank” chapter).
4. To unwind the mains cable, pull out the upper hook for winding up the cable (2) a little
and turn it down.
5. Place the device upright and tilt the frame (6) forwards towards the cleaning foot (9)
until the joint of the cleaning foot engages.
6. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed, easily accessible plug socket.
7. Move the On / Off switch (13) to position I. The control lamps (8) behind the water
tank light up red as soon as the operating voltage is present. Wait until the device has
reached operating temperature and the control lamps light up blue. Steam begins to
emerge from the cleaning foot.
8. Hold the device securely by the handle and tilt it backwards slightly to release the
locking mechanism in the joint of the cleaning foot. If necessary, hold the cleaning
foot with your own foot as you do this.
9. Guide the cleaning foot slowly back and forth over the oor. The oor is cleaned as
you do this.
The frame has an additional articulated joint (4) which allows cleaning under items
of furniture. To do this, press the PUSH button on the articulated joint to release
the locking mechanism
(Picture B). To return the handle rod to its initial position,
pull it up until the articulated joint engages.
10. After use, move the On / Off switch to position 0 and pull the mains plug out of the
plug socket.

Hang clothing on a hanger with suffi cient clearance on all sides so that heat and
moisture cannot cause any damage to any living creatures or objects.
