Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem Possible cause Solution
The device works slowly
or does not work at all.
The battery is empty. Charge the battery.
Low suction force.
The collecting contai-
ner (5) is full.
Empty the collecting
container.
The suction opening or
nozzle (4) is blocked.
Switch off the device and
remove the blockage.
The control lamp does not
light up when the device
is connected to the mains
power.
The mains adapter (7) is
not inserted in the plug so-
cket correctly or the barrel
connector is not inserted
in the connecting socket
on the device correctly.
Correct the fi t.
The plug socket is defec-
tive.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse in the
electrical distributor (fuse
box).
Reduce the number of
devices in the circuit.
Streaks are left when
cleaning windows or
smooth surfaces.
The scraper lip (4) is dirty.
Clean the nozzle with
scraper lip.
The cleaning agent has
the wrong dosage.
Correct the dosage.
Unusual odour The device is new.
A new odour is normal
when the device is used
for the fi rst time; it disap-
pears after a while.
