UC SERIES
ULTRAVIOLET COIL PURIFIERS
FOR AIR HANDLER INSTALLATIONS
Clean Comfort
®
brand Coil Puriers work to inhibit
growth of microbes such as mold, bacteria and viruses
on the evaporator coil of your heating and cooling
system. The dark, cool and damp environment of an
evaporator coil oers ideal conditions for sustaining
mold growth. To combat this, UC Coil Puriers
radiate UVC light, which attacks the DNA of these
microbes, preventing them from replicating and
eventually destroying them. Because UVC light has
been used for decades to help deactivate microbes
without emitting chemicals, it is considered a proven
and reliable method for sterilizing indoor air.
UV light is an eective method to keep evaporator coils
clean without harsh chemicals. Clean Comfort brand Coil
Puriers sanitize the coil’s surface, helping to inhibit the
growth of mold and other microbials which could – left
unchecked – deteriorate the system’s performance. Mold
spores could also become airborne and be circulated
throughout our home, where they could have an impact
on your family’s health, especially for those with allergies,
asthma, or other respiratory ailments. These Coil Puriers
operate 24/7 even when your heating and cooling system is
not operating.
The UC Series Coil Purier is installed in the ductwork of
your central heating and cooling system, and shines UV
light on the evaporator coil and coil pan around the clock.
The “Premium Plus” dual-lamp UC36 Coil Purier not only
has twice the sterilizing power of single-lamp UC18 models,
it also has an aluminum parabolic reector that focuses and
intensies the UV energy to the desired area, which helps to
ensure an evaporator coil with reduced microbial growth.
