AM Series
MEDIA AIR CLEANERS
Clean Comfort™ brand AM Series Air Cleaners trap
particles on the lter media, removing these pollutants
from your home’s air. Electrostatically-charged bers
enhance the lter eectiveness of the air cleaners.
Trapped particles are permanently removed from the home
when the loaded lter is replaced with a new lter. For even
better ltration, consider the AM14 Air Cleaners which can
remove particles as small as 0.3 with 85% eciency. Optional
carbon lters are available for odor and gas removal.
Inside a Clean Comfort™ brand AM Series Air Cleaner is
a MERV 11 or MERV 14 media lter with electrostatically-
charged bers that remove particles and impurities as
small as 0.3 micron from the air in your home. Easily
installed in the system duct work, it provides additional
protection from indoor air contaminants throughout your
entire home compared to standard air lters. Because the
AM Series Air Cleaners’ deep-pleated media lter contains
more surface area than standard furnace lters*, they
capture more particles with little airow restriction so they
last longer between lter changes and put less stress on
the heating and cooling system fan.
Maintenance of the AM Series Media Air Cleaner is easy. It is
recommended that you replace the media lter at least once
a year, depending on the specics of your home (amount
of trac, number of occupants and household pets, etc.)
Check with your HVAC professional for a recommendation.
* Standard furnace lters are dened as 1” deep and
MERV 8 or less.

MERV 11 and MERV 14 eciency
MERV stands for Minimum Eciency Reporting Value,
which is a performance standard for rating a lter’s
ability to remove particles; the higher the MERV rating,
the greater the particle removal. It was developed by
the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air
Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The AM11 Series will
remove 3-10 micron particles with 85.4 - 91.1% eciency
depending upon the model. The AM14 Series will remove
3-10 micron particles with 99% eciency for all models.
