General Installation Notes:
Please read these instructions completely before
beginning the installation. If you have any questions
please call.
Before beginning the installation, disconnect the negative
battery cable and use wheel chocks to block the
vehicle's wheels.
Make sure the engine, transmission, body and frame
are properly grounded. We recommend using anti-seize
lubricant on all aluminum threads.
Refer to Fig. 1 for the component names.
Driver's Side:
Step 1: Remove the plastic OEM ignition coil cover (if
equipped).
Step 2: Remove the coil bracket bolt that is closest to
the front and towards the center of the valve
cover.
Step 3: Remove the rear coil bracket bolt from the
valve cover.
Step 4: Place the supplied 1.5" tall spacer underneath
the front of the coil cover, aligned with the
front hole in the coil cover. Pass the M6 x 65mm
socket head bolt through the coil cover and
spacer, and thread the bolt loosely into the
valve cover. Fig. 2
Step 5: Place the supplied 1.9" tall spacer underneath
the rear of the coil cover, aligned with the
rearmost hole in the coil cover. Pass the
M6 x 65mm socket head bolt through the coil
cover and spacer, and thread the bolt into the
valve cover. Fig. 2
Step 6: Tighten both of the M6 x 65mm socket head
bolts.
Passenger's Side:
Step 7: Remove the plastic OEM ignition coil cover (if
equipped).
Step 8: Attach the "Z" bracket to the front outside
boss on the valve cover using the supplied
M6 x 8mm socket head bolt. Make sure the "Z"
bracket is positioned as shown in Fig. 3.

Step 9: Remove the rear coil bracket bolt from the valve
cover.
Step 10: Loosely attach the coil cover to the "Z" bracket,
using the other M6 x 8mm socket head bolt.
Step 11: Place the supplied 1.9" tall spacer underneath the
rear of the coil cover, aligned with the rearmost
hole in the coil cover. Pass the M6 x 65mm socket
head bolt through the coil cover and spacer,
and thread the bolt into the valve cover. Fig. 3
Step 12: Tighten both of the socket head bolts you just
installed.
