Owners manual

General Installation Notes:
Please read these instructions completely before beginning
the installation. If you have any questions please call.
Before beginning the installation, disconnect the negative battery
cable and use wheel chocks to block the vehicle's wheels.
Make sure the engine, transmission, body and frame are
properly grounded.
This Instrument Bezel is designed to be a direct fit for
1967-1972 GM trucks. It can be used with the original
instrument cluster or with a direct fit aftermarket
instrument cluster.
It may be easier to remove the instrument cluster and
bezel assembly if you lower the steering column first.
Step 1: Remove the dash knobs from the headlight
switch, windshield wiper/washer switch, and
choke cable (if equipped). There is a spring-
loaded button on top of the OE headlight switch
that must be depressed in order to remove the
headlight knob and shaft.
Remove the dash knob bezels. Remove the six
bezel mounting screws, and save them to use with
the new Bezel. Tilt the instrument cluster and bezel
assembly outwards at the top, and disconnect the
wiring harness, the speedometer cable, and the oil
pressure line from the instrument cluster. Remove
the original instrument cluster and bezel assembly
from the dash. Consult a Factory Service Manual
if additional guidance is needed in removing the
instrument cluster and bezel assembly.
Step 2: Remove the eight screws that attach the
instrument cluster to the original bezel, and save
them to use with the new Bezel. If you are going
to use any other parts from your original instrument
cluster, remove the instrument cluster from your
original bezel. Disassemble the instrument cluster
as needed to remove any parts you will be using
with the new Bezel.
If your truck has a choke cable, drill the appropriate
size hole in the new Bezel for the choke cable.
Step 3: If you are using an original style instrument cluster,
install the instrument lens (not included) into the new
Bezel. Make sure that there are no fingerprints, dirt,
or other debris on the inside of the instrument lens.
Make sure that the tubes and lenses for the high
beam indicator and turn signals are in place on
the instrument cluster. Install the instrument cluster
into the bezel, using the original screws.

Step 3 continued: If you are using an aftermarket instrument
cluster, install the instrument cluster into the new Bezel
following the installation instructions from the instrument
cluster manufacturer. If new screws did not come with
the aftermarket instrument cluster, use the original
instrument cluster screws for installation.
Step 4: Position the instrument cluster and Bezel in front of the
opening in the dash. Connect the wiring harness, the
speedometer cable (if applicable), and the oil pressure
line to the instrument cluster now.
Step 5: Install the Bezel and instrument cluster assembly in the
dash, using the original bezel mounting screws.
Step 6: Install the dash knob bezels for the headlight switch,
the windshield wiper/washer switch, and the choke
cable (if equipped). Then, install the dash knobs.
